Free Cycles to SC Girls studying in Std.VIII (Gujarat)

Free Cycles to Scheduled Caste Girls studying in Std.VIII (Sarasvati Sadhana Yojana).

Objective :

This scheme of free cycles is implemented to promote girls education.

Eligibility criteria :

• The girl students belonging to families belonging Below Poverty Line are eligible for benefit of free cycle scheme.
• The girl students who are traveling to other village for studying in secondary school other than local schools by commuting from their residence are eligible for this benefit.

Pattern of Assistance :

• Girl students studying in Std.VIII are given free cycles. The cycles are being purchased through GRIMCO.

Income criteria :

• Rs.20,000/- for rural areas.
• Rs.25,000/- for urban areas.
